for torture

Randy Neugebauer, he's for Torture.

The house approved a measure in symbolic support of the Senate backed ban on torture. I say symbolic because it was a non-binding vote. It was procedural.

Approved 308-122, the procedural vote puts pressure on House leadership (but does not require them) to include the ban and another provision standardizing interrogation techniques used by U.S. troops in a final wartime military spending bill.

Of those 122 reps. who wanted to keep on with the torturing, fully 121 of them were Republicans. One of them was our own embarassment, Randy Neugebauer. Even when the vote is non-binding, Randy loves torture so much, that he can't bring himself to vote against banning its use.

Shame on him. I don't know who that lone Democrat was. Shame on him too.

The lone Democrat in favor of torture is Jim Marshall of Georgia.

Thanks for great posts.
